Welcome Glenn Paul Hill, our new pastor for the Cross Plains & Ridgetop SDA Churches. Glenn and wife Debbie come to us from the Illinois Conference where he was the pastor of the Springfield SDA Church, All Nations SDA Church (Bloomington, Il) and the Decatur Sunnyside SDA Church. He has a combined 18 years of pastoral experience between the Michigan (ordained in 1997) and Illinois Conferences. In the Michigan Conference he served in the Kalamazoo/Otsego district and then in the Monroe/Belleville district. While in Illinois he was pastor of the Elmhurst church & served as Conference Communication Director (¼ time from June 2008 to July 2012) and as Naperville Church pastor (¼ time for August 2012 to August 2013). He has varied experiences teaching Bible at Weimar Institute in California and teaching conversational English and working as Academic dean at the SDA Language Institute in Seoul, South Korea.
He has been involved in various evangelistic efforts including a Chicagoland effort lead by Pastor Mark Finley. He, as Elmhurst Il pastor, teamed up with a neighboring church to provide a Prophecy Seminar and in Springfield, Il, he has been active with Revelation Speaks Peace.
Hobbies and Interests include Hiking, Backpacking, Biking, Trail running, Running Marathons, Photography, Stair climbing, Reading, Gardening, Music (guitar, trumpet and piano...), and memorizing scripture in Hebrew and Greek. He has a media ministry with a YouTube Channel: Mining the Word.
He is a graduate of Grand Ledge Adventist Academy has a BA in Pastoral Ministry from Weimar College and M.div. and D.min. degrees from Andrews University.
Debbie Hill graduated from Southern Adventist University, has worked at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Concerned Communications, and Allen Canning Corporation headquarters. After marrying Glenn, she taught English as a Second Language in South Korea. Earning her MS in Business Administration (Church Ministries emphasis) from Andrews University. She has served as hospital chaplain in Hinsdale, LaGrange, Glen Oaks, and Bolingbrook (in Illinois), and as a behavior health chaplain in Auburn, California. Most recently, she has been a hospital night chaplain in Springfield, Illinois.
Her hobbies include voice and piano, baking, family gatherings, and studying royalty. Debbie and Glenn have a kind of team ministry for the churches they serve.
Her most treasured experience however, is being Mother to their two sons. The Hill's have two adult sons Austin (wife Alana) and Jason.
